Tibetan Language - Beginners Course

A rare and precious opportunity to learn how to read, write and speak Tibetan.

This would enable us to to access the texts in their original language, as something does get lost in translation.

Taught by our lovely Tibetan Friend, Dickey Yangzom who has lived in Wales since 2006. All Dickey’s children were born in Wales, and she has taught them to read, write and speak Tibetan fluently.

This beginners course will consist of 8 sessions, all the dates are on Sundays, time is from 10 am to 11am, the dates are: 12th Jan, 19th Jan, 2ed Feb, 16th Feb, 2ed Mar, 16th Mar, 30th Mar, 13th Apr.

How to join

• Suggested donation £12.50 per class.

• Each class comes with learning materials such as texts and recordings.

Please note:

• We ask that students seriously commit to attend all the classes to the best of their ability, and also set time aside for homework, but if you cannot attend all of the classes, recordings are possible by request.

• Please bring a notebook and a pen.

You’re welcome to stay and enjoy our Tibetan Tearoom after the session, there will be soup, tea and cake available.
